Students as agent dissemination positive information

Bandar Seri Begawan, Saturday, February 1. - In an effort to instil the spirit patriotism and social responsibility among youths to make students become agents in dissemination of positive and effective information to their peers, The Department of Information through its Nationhood Unit, Nationhood and Community Division organised the Information Youth Peer Programme (RRP) at Raja Isteri Girls’ High School (STPRI).

           

The programme also aims to provide civic awareness and the spirit of patriotism, especially among youths towards the establishment of positive mind and morale, and in the same time approach the youth and teenagers through guided entertainment.

 

The programme was attended by the School Principal, Tutty Hyrneeita binti Haji Abd. Latip, teachers and 331 students from Year 9 and 10.

 

The programme included the Nationhood Briefing on ‘Our Sovereign, Appreciating the National Flag and the National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ presented by Information Officer, Awang Mohammad Hisyam bin Idris, as Head of the Nationhood Unit of the Nationhood and Community Division.

 

The RRP also enlivened by the dance performance "Medley (Aduk-Aduk dan Cok Kerapang)"; singing performance by Awang Mohammad Nor Amirudin bin Haji Brahim from Department of Information and comedy sketch by Dayang Hajah Kasumawati binti Haji Buntar and Haji Mohd. Firdaus bin Haji Salleh, who also handling the nationhood quiz.
