PERHIASAN TUNGGAL

Perhiasan Tunggal is a royal regalia consisting of Payung Diraja, Tombak Tunggal, Kaskul, Perisai Tunggal and Pedang Tunggal.

The Payung Diraja is a Royal Ceremonial Umbrella. It is yellow in colour with a golden top and tasselled with golden beads. The Payung Diraja is used by the Sultan on his way to attend formal ceremonies as a symbol of Royal honour, peace, tranquillity and justice. It is carried by Pengiran Peranakan (descendants of royal blood).

The Perisai Tunggal and Pedang Tunggal consist of Perisai (shield) which is designed with Quranic verses. The Pedang Tunggal is the sword with a gold hilt and scabbard. Both are carried by Pengiran Peranakan to accompany the Sultan when attending a Royal ceremony.

The Tumbak Tunggal is like a spear, and the tip is tasselled with animals' wool. It is carried by Pengiran Peranakan.

The Kaskul is a royal betel caddy which is wrapped with golden cloth (Jong Sarat) or yellow silk studded with golden thread.
