BERAKAS, July 24 – Brunei Darussalam will be participating in the Youth Olympic Games taking place in Singapore, the first participation for Brunei Darussalam in a world sporting event of Olympic level especially for the local youths.

Thus a National Flag presentation ceremony was held for the Brunei contingent.

Present to hand over the national flag was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council (BDNOC) to Brunei Darussalam’s Chef de Mission, Dayang Mariam binti Ulat.

Also present was the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Dato Haji Awang Hazair.

The event took place at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

The Brunei Darussalam’s contingent will leave for the Republic of Singapore on August 11.
