BERAKAS, March 9 – The scope of work for the Fire and Rescue Department has expanded to not only conventional tasks but has advanced to a much wider and challenging scope.  

These matters were highlighted by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office in his sabda (royal speech) at a ceremony to celebrate the golden jubilee anniversary of the establishment of the Fire and Rescue Department.

 
The department has undergone various challenges and gained a number of experiences that could strengthen the department as an agency that plays a role in maintaining the safety and well-being of the citizens and residents in this country.

His Royal Highness also watched field performances depicting fire rescue endurance and a demonstration of operation on utilising motorcycles and other vehicles of the department. There were also displays of fire extinguishing by volunteers firemen and fire and rescue cadets; presentations of score cards, choir; and demonstration of nozzle jets application and water curtain.  

His Royal Highness also took a closer look on an exhibition showcasing the development of the department over the 50 years since its establishment.
