Personal Contact Programme improves bilateral relations between government and citizens

Bandar Seri Begawan, Saturday, 17 August. – The Sua Muka Programme or better known as the Personal  Contact Programme run by the Department of Information, Prime Minister's Office through the Community Relations Unit, Nationhood and Community Division resumed today for Kampung Lambak 'A'.
 
The meeting was held at the residence of Acting Head of Kampung Lambak 'A', Awang Haji Ibrahim bin Haji Abd. Rahman at Kampung Lambak 'A'.
 
Leading the department’s delegation was Information Officer as the Head of the Community Relations Unit, Nationhood and Community Division, Awang Muhd. Khairulhadi bin Haji Muhd. Muhtaddir.
 
Among those present during the meeting were the Acting Village Head of Kampung Lambak 'A' and the Members of the Village Consultative Council (MPK) as well as the villagers.
 
The programme, among others, aims to enhance bilateral relations between the government - the    other than conveying information (current issues) and government policy, while receiving feedback that needs attention and action by government parties concerned.
                                          
It is also intended to disseminate information and programmes as well as the development and progress of the mukim through the Pelita Brunei newspaper.
 
 Among the issues raised were the provision of infrastructure and public facilities, welfare, safety and the economy of residents.
 
The department also shared information such as excerpts of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Titah touching on the Monarch’s relationship with the people; economy, well-being and development of people's lives and countries; National Flag, Acts relating to fake news; to practise working together on issues of cleanliness and programmes of the departments under the Community Relations Unit.
 
Kampung Lambak 'A' has a population of 4,750 people (Population Census for 2018) and an area of 6,075 square kilometres.
 
 Whereas the products produced by the village Consultative Council are Handricrafts (weaving).
