MUKIM  BERAKAS 'A', Wednesday, August 7. - Kampung Orang Kaya Besar Imas / Pulaie and Kg Pancha Delima / Anggerek Desa were selected for the Program Sua Muka also known  as the Personal Contact (PC) Programme organised by the Department of Information to  listen to any concerns or issues raised by the villagers.
 
The programme, organised by the  Community Relations Unit , Nationhood and Community Division, Department of Information was held at the residence of  the Deputy Village  Head of Kampung Pancha Delima / Anggerek Desa, Awang Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Awang Ya'akub.
 
Leading the delegation from the Department of Information was Acting Deputy Director of Information, Awang Haji Shahrul Jeffri bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim.
 
Also present was Member of the Legislative Council, Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Maon, Penghulu of Mukim Berakas 'B' as Acting Penghulu of Mukim Berakas 'A'; Acting Head of Kampung Orang Kaya Besar Imas / Pulaie, Awang Omar bin Haji Dollah, members of the Village Consultative Council (MPK) and residents of the village. 
 
Also in attendance were Senior Information Officer, Dayang Ruhil Amal Faridah binti Awang Yahya as Head of the Nationhood and Community Division and Head of Community Relations Unit, Awang Muhd. Khairulhadi bin Haji Muhd. Muhtaddir.
 
During the programme,  the Acting Deputy Director of Information  among others shared issues of cleanliness and co-operation; programmes under the Community Relations Unit,  the national flag,  acts related to false news and excerpts of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's titah(royal speech), which touched on the economy, welfare and development of people's lives and country.
 
Residents and citizens of this country are encouraged to hoist the national flag properly during national celebrations and to ensure that the colour of their flag is not faded.
 
Among the roles of the Brunei Darussalam National Flag are to glorify national celebrations; instill the spirit of patriotism and nationalism; as well as to support the Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB).
 
Touching on fake news, Awang Haji Shahrul Jeffri explained that anyone found guilty of spreading false information could be taken under the law.
 
Section 148 of the Public Order Act Section 34 which applies to anyone, whether spoken or written or used in any manner, disseminates a false report or makes a false statement may result in interruption of public order punishable by three years' imprisonment and a fine of BND3,000.
 
Whereas Section 24 of the Sedition Act Section 4 (1) means any person who commits or attempts to commit or provides or abets to induce, print, publish, sell, offer to sell, distribute or reproduce any incitement; and bring in any seditious news, unless he has no suspicion that it is seditious, those who commit these offenses may be sentenced to two (2) years' imprisonment and a fine of BND5,000.
 
Meanwhile, the MPK and villagers shared issues related to the provision of infrastructure and public facilities, welfare and public safety as well as the local economy.
 
The programme also introduced and  disseminated the Department of  Information’s mobile application, 'InfoDeptBN' and the procedure for downloading the application through the Google Playstore for Android users and the App Store for iOS users.
 
Through the mobile application, users can access and obtain various information such the Pelita Brunei e-Paper, Publications, Prayer Times, Job Vacancy advertisements and more.
 
In addition to enhancing bilateral relations between the government and the people, the programme also aims to provide information (current issues) and government policy as well as receive feedback that should be taken into account by the relevant parties in the government as well as providing information and programmes as well as development and progress through Pelita Brunei Newspaper. 
 
Kampong Pancha Delima / Anggerek Desa is currently governed by the Acting Head of the Kampung Pancha Delima / Anggerek Desa, Hj Zulkifli bin Hj Ya'akub where Kampung Pancha Delima has a population of around 1,562, while Kampung Anggerek Desa  is inhabited by about 1,443 people.
 
Kampung Orang Kaya Besar Imas and Kampung Pulaie each have about 1,228 and 412 inhabitants.
