This Informed Community Programme is held in every district in this country in stages, which focuses on the mukim and the villages.

The programme, which is aimed at reaching out to the public, is still relevant in today's modern times, as it is more 'personal' and more effective interaction and can provide good relationship between public and private civil servants.

In addition, it is intended to be one of the medium in response to the command of His Majesty The Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, during the celebration of His Majesty's 72nd birthday in which he decreed that one of the steps towards economic growth is, by exploring the agricultural sector and the sector is very important for life, as it plays a major role in the construction of civilisation.

In addition to Face-to-Face Communication work, the Department of Information is also approaching the community with two other strategies, namely publishing materials and media relations, among which by introducing mobile apps 'InfoDeptBN' that can be downloaded via the Google Playstore app, for Android users and Apps Store for iOS users.

In disseminating current information, the department also featured posters and videos for the events of departments and ministries through the Informational Screen, housed in several public focus areas, such as government buildings and business premises .
