Personal Contact Programme focusses to dissemate current information

BATU APOI, 25 November – The Information Department through its Temburong Branch continues to approach and disseminate information to citizens and residents in all parts of the country through the institution of Penghulu and Heads of Villages in a series of Programme Sua Muka or also known as the 'Personal Contact'.
 
The programme was held at Kampung Batu Apoi, Temburong. 

The programme commenced with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Head of Village of Kampung Batu Apoi, Awang Haji Daud bin Haji Masri.

During the programme period, the Village Head of Kampung Batu Apoi together with the Advisory Village Consultative Council, Awang Haji Mat Jahari bin Jalak; a member of the Village Consultative Council, also proposed some of the issues including issues related to infrastructure, environment, village economy and public facilities.

The department also touched on the use of the national flag, banners and materials with national interests and reading materials on the Vision of Brunei 2035 and the Syar'iah Criminal Code Order 2013 presented by Acting Director of the Information Department, Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad.

He also touched on the Informative Community Programme which is one of the platforms that can be joined by the villagers in groups.

At the meeting, an explanation was also given about the Mobile Application by the Information Department, 'InfoDeptBN' presented by a representative of the Public Relations and Media Unit, Awang Rahmat bin Harith Shukurillah.

Meanwhile, the explanation of the technology transiton of Radio Television Brunei (RTB) Broadcasting was delivered by the Manager of the RTB Temburong District Branch, Awang Haji Mozni bin Haji Anuar.

At the same time, the development and progress of the mukim and the village are also explored, especially places and products to be introduced to the public, both inside and outside the country through the writing of articles through the “Know Our Country” or also known as “Kenali Negara Kitani” (KNK) column published in Pelita Brunei, in line with the role of the Information Department as tongue, eyes and ears of the government.

During the Personal Contact Programme, the Head of Village of Batu Apoi, Awang Haji Daud bin Haji Masri responded well to the initiative made by the Information Department and recalled the visit held in 2014 which has shown positive results.
